Being behind with these unboxings is somewhat annoying, but there isn’t much that I can do with how busy I’ve been with things.  Luckily I have some free time with this short break, so I’m going to try to get most if not all of my current backlog of figures to unbox!  Starting things off is something from my September 2017 orders!  It’s pretty crazy to think that it has been over 2 years since the last of this series of figures have been released.  Continuing Max Factory’s amazing To LOVEru Darkness’s Venus figure line we have the youngest of the Deviluke sisters, Nana Astar Deviluke, strutting her own wedding dress!

Character: Nana Astar Deviluke

Well I’m not going to drag this on for too long.  First of all this is the second of two figures from my September 2017 orders.  As usual I purchased the figure from AmiAmi for ¥9,280 plus shipping.  Nana is the third figure in the fourth figure in this set from Max Factory featuring the girls of TLrD.  Based off the cover art from Yabuki Kentarou’s Venus artbook released sooo long ago.  Since the first figure in the set I have made it a goal to complete this series of figures, despite how long MF will take to actually releasing all the girls.  Regardless this is definitely a good start! Now onto the photos as usual!

Packaging:  MF continues to package these TLrD girls in some fairly nice boxes.  I do like the added texture to the box, makes it feel like a dress for the figure…

Base:  Well can’t say I was expecting something amazing for the base here.  The past three figures had the same octagon shaped base so to no surprise it returns here for Nana.   It’s definitely not a bad looking base, not really plain.  I suppose for it’s purpose, this included base is fine.

Assembly:  Included with Nana is a simple instruction sheet on how to put the figure together.  Her extra front hair piece was a bit of an annoyance to get on at first.  You have to get the notches on correctly and push in with a bit of force.  The veil for this figure can be attached to Nana’s head, unlike the past figures where it would sit on top of the girls head.  Overall assembly is simple, nothing too complicated.

Figure:  In terms of sculpt, coloring, and design; MF has done everything perfectly with this figure.  Nana definitely does not have the curves like the other TLrD girls and that is apparent with this figure.  But I think MF and the sculptor did a great job in making Nana still look adorable and slightly sexy regardless.

The one thing I had a slight issue with the figure is Nana’s derp face and some viewing angles.  It’s not the worse looking derp face, but it is noticeable.  At the right angles though, Nana looks just like the original artwork.

Extras:  There is pretty much only two poses for Nana.  One with her wedding veil and one without.  No hidden poses for this figure.

Quality:   Everything about this figure feels solid.  Nana did not feel “cheap” in my hands.  Definitely a quality product made form quality materials.  MF is usually good on this aspect so I wasn’t really expecting a drop in quality or anything.

Value:  In terms of the retail price and final product, I truly think that you will be getting good value with this figure.  The figure looks great overall, the quality is excellent, and the overall price isn’t that bad.  For anything under the market value I’d say this figure would be a steal.  At market value I believe she is still worth it.  Anything over though, maybe you need to be a hardcore fan for it to be worth.

Final Thoughts:  Overall, I am happy with how Nana turned out!  MF continues to ship these excellent TLrD figures, even though this one took longer than expected.  As you can imagine, I will continue to get the rest of the girls once they are released.

So that’s it for this unboxing.  By the time you are reading this I am probably working on the next post, so expect that sometime soon!  As always, thanks for reading!1/6
